Word to Vybz, if you know, you know.
In line with my promise to be more consistent, what better way to do that, than with a style post. Because i’ll be the first to admit that category is looking a little tumbleweed’ish..
So outfit, I call this corporate casual.
I don’t really, I just made it up but I like it so.. Jeans aren’t really my thing I’ll be honest. However, I see people style them so well, I try to by force! My go-to these days is a straight leg or MOM fit from Topshop or Zara, I dunno it just feels a little more ‘grown’ with the occasional skinny thrown in.
Pairing a straight leg with ankle boots isnt everyones cup of tea but I love the way it sits. Especially as im short and I feel this elongates my legs. (These boots are old Topshop btw, sorry girls) As these jeans are high waisted, a tucked in turtleneck complimented the jeans over boot look and actually had a pretty slimming effect. Perrrrrfect for winter and layering.
I was torn between a blazer or my fitted leather jacket and looking back at pictures I probably would have prefered the jacket. You know how it goes. Though I do love the corporate vibe the blazer gives as opposed to a casual leather.
To finish was the bag! The bag is always the finisher for me. Well that’s if it isn’t the base. I often say to myself ‘ok I wanna wear this bag today, what fit matches’. In this case, the thick strap on this Mazumatsu bag was the ‘thing’ the outfit needed! There is always a ‘thing’ in any outfit!
Are straight jeans your thing? or is it skinny for the win
