I should probably start by saying this was my first time trying Tapas, so thank you Rosa. Also thank youuuu Alec for being fab and making life easier by selecting the dishes for us, I would have taken a lifetime! Now admittedly Ive always been apprehensive of trying tapas (a range of small plates) as being the foodie I am, much prefer a huge plate in front of me and worry about leaving still hungry lol. I didn’t leave hungry, we thank God!
Myself and veggie Hope, were kindly given a selection of the dishes and cocktails to try and for a relatively busy Friday evening, the service was super speedy.
Give me it allllll
Our first dish was home-made bread and paprika butter (if I remember correctly) and its safe to say I could have eaten a crate of that alone! Though If you know me, even a little, you’ll know the Denver steak dish was obviously my fave.. Followed closely by the spiced pineapple desert, ohmygaaaad! That desert might just be one of the best desserts I’ve tasted.. like pineapple and chilli? who even knew!
Hope has asked me to give an honourable mention to the cod dish, that I’m sure I photographed but can’t seem to find, as it was ‘cooked to perfection and then some’. Her personal fave of the night. Also, my love for cocktails literally continues to grow with each venue I visit. When visiting Rosa you HAVE to try The Wibble. I can’t actually remember what exactly it is but I remember its super good and that’s all that matters!
Rosa’s prime location on Whiteladies Road makes it the perfect pre drinks/after work spot for those in the area or willing to travel. Its worth it. The outdoor terrace is beautiful for watching the world go by and is a nice little sun trap when it doesn’t decide to rain within 10 minutes of your arrival.. only my luck! Indoors has a much cosier vibe and the dimmed lighting screams date night, so it’s really offering the best of both!
I can’t wait to spend a sunny sunday trying the roasts!
